Now in its 27th year, St Anthony’s Triathlon, sponsored and produced by St Anthony’s Hospital in the Tampa Bay, Florida, area – is welcoming Bank of America as a supporting sponsor of the St Anthony’s Meek & Mighty Triathlon.

"Since 1994, St Anthony’s Meek & Mighty Triathlon has been a part of St Anthony’s Triathlon weekend of events offering an exciting, competitive and interactive experience for the entire family," said St. Anthony’s Hospital President, William Ulbricht.

"Whether it’s your first or twentieth race, St Anthony’s Meek & Mighty Triathlon inspires and encourages kids ages 7-14, teens and novice adults through the sport to lead an active, positive and healthy lifestyle.

“St. Anthony’s Triathlon and the Meek & Mighty Triathlon are an integral part of our community, bringing in thousands of spectators, participants and volunteers for a weekend focused on fitness and fun. The support from Bank of America will only help elevate the reputation of the race and its popularity."

Known for its scenic course along the downtown St Petersburg waterfront, St Anthony’s Triathlon attracts more than 4,000 individuals and 125 relay teams from more than 45 states and 17 countries. The 2010 event opens on 24 April and is sold out.

The event supports St Anthony’s Hospital and its community-owned facilities dedicated to improving the health of the community.

"Bank of America shares St Anthony’s commitment to making a difference in the community and is honoured to participate in keeping this event – steeped in local racing tradition – alive," said Bank of America Market President for Tampa Bay Bill Goede. "We look forward to a great partnership with St Anthony’s and an exciting, world-class event."
