UK newspaper the Daily Mail, via its Sportsmail section, has teamed up with leading global sports drink Gatorade to offer one lucky individual a chance to compete in the sold-out 2010 London Triathlon this August. The winner will also get a Polar Heart Rate Monitor, New Balance Trainers and a Gatorade Hydration pack.

The competition links with Gatorade’s latest promotional initiative. Recognising the effort and commitment individuals at all levels put into their sport and active life, Gatorade is giving everyone the chance to redeem rewards through the new ‘Gatorade Gives Back’ on-pack-promotion.

As with all competitions, the question is not too taxing – particularly for triathlon consumers. To be in with a chance of winning, the Daily Mail and Gatorade are asking for an answer to the following question:

Where does the 2010 London Triathlon start?
a ExCeL Centre
b Canada Water
c Royal Victoria Dock

The answer, along with name, address, contact number and trainer size should be e-mailed to: sportcomps@dailymail.co.uk to arrive by midday Thursday 25 March 2010.

The Daily Mail notes that the prize does not include travel to/from London or any accommodation or hospitality. Competition applicants must include the word GATORADE in the e-mail subject box to validate entry and individuals must be 17 or over to enter.

From its origins in the 1960s, Gatorade is billed as ‘the world’s most researched isotonic sports drink’. In the UK, the brand is set to reward active men and women across the country with its ‘Gatorade Gives Back’ campaign.

Gatorade has teamed up with a host of partners including New Balance, Polar, Power Music, Neilson Active Holidays and The National Magazine Company to offer 22 million Gatorade athletes the opportunity to redeem over
