Felt has unveiled a number of enhancements across its portfolio of BMX, lifestyle, MBK and road/tri bikes. In the road arena, some key performance improvements will excite fans of the F1 and the DA in particular:
For 2011, the company’s new and improved F1 road bike makes huge gains in stiffness. Meanwhile, Felt new DA time trial/triathlon model is being offered as a complete bike or a bare frameset module.
In the DA, aerodynamic performance has been boosted with Felt’s use of Computational Fluid Design (CFD) software. This, in conjunction with wind tunnel testing, has enabled the company to introduce innovative ‘trips’ to disrupt the airflow. This reportedly allows the DA to route airflow around the battery pack and rear wheel and so improve aerodynamic efficiency.
