GE backs triathlon for Kids in Crisis

With its recent injection of funds to become an Elite Partner of British Triathlon, GE (General Electric) is continuing its support for tri in the US.

GE is sponsoring the 3rd annual Stamford KIC IT Triathlon on 27 June 2010. The Olympic distance race, in Stamford, Connecticut will begin at 6:30am on Long Island Sound and concludes with a post-race family festival in downtown Columbus Park.

Proceeds go to Kids in Crisis, which has received more than US$750,000 in donations from various GE-supported events. Since its founding in 1978, Kids in Crisis has helped nearly 100,000 children and families in the state.
