ITU Sport Development Co?ordinator for Europe

The International Triathlon Union (ITU) and the European Triathlon Union (ETU) wish to engage a part-time or project?based person who has the ability and experience to promote the development of the sport of triathlon and related multisports in Europe.

The ITU Sport Development Co?ordinator for Europe will work under the direction of the ETU Secretary General in conjunction with ITU Sport Development and will provide the ETU Executive Board with quarterly updates. This person will have the skills to assist potential and provisional member National Federations, as well as new and less well?developed countries, in developing the basic functional roles of a National Federation.

The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of sport in general, and a detailed knowledge of triathlon, particularly the national and international structures, including the interaction with the Olympic and other movements. This person will also be able to understand the financial and governance requirements and constraints of National Federations.

It is hoped that members of the ETU Executive Board will be able to meet candidates during the forthcoming ETU Congress and Triathlon European Championships in Athlone, Ireland between 1-4 July.
