Newton Running is organising a national series of free symposiums across the US, which focuses on running biomechanics, shoe technology and running injury prevention. The symposiums shall be led by a team of running coaches, athletes and doctors.
According to Newton President, Stephen Gartside, "There’s a tremendous amount of discussion, confusion and misinformation in the running world right now about running form and shoe design. We want to help educate runners about the benefits of proper form, choosing proper running shoes and preventing common running injuries."
The first Natural Running Symposium takes place on 2 March at Luke’s Locker in Dallas, Texas. The seminar is free and open to the public. Additional symposiums will be hosted in Boston and San Diego. Newton plans to host educational symposiums in conjunction with its key retailers across the country throughout the year. A full calendar of events will be updated on the company’s blog: www.therunningfront.com.
