Scott has confirmed that Germany’s Normann ‘The Norminator’ Stadler of the Scott sponsored Team Commerzbank, has re-signed through to the end of 2011.
Stadler has signed a bike/footwear contract and will train and compete in Scott footwear including the company’s new T2 running shoes. The T2’s have been specially designed for triathletes who run after biking, featuring a quick entry system with collapsible heel for faster transitions and a mild rocker geometry called ‘Ergologic Ride’.
The two-time Ironman World Champion and record holder for the fastest bike split in Kona will compete in the next two World Championships in Hawaii aboard the Scott Plasma. His new bike will feature a special paint job including the World Championship stripes representing his wins in 2004 and 2006.
“We are very happy to have Normann [for] two seasons on Scott,” said a Scott Sports spokesperson. “He’s a great mentor and leader for the rest of Team Commerzbank as well as a fierce competitor. When betting on Kona, you have to factor in ‘The Norminator’.”
