Trail Runner magazine, the only magazine in the US dedicated to the off-road running community, has been named the official print publication of the XTERRA Trail Run Series.
As part of a three-year agreement, Trail Runner will provide promotional support for the XTERRA Trail Run Series in exchange for integrated marketing opportunities and a visual presence at XTERRA trail running championship events.
“We’re delighted to connect our brands and mutually support the sport of trail running,” said Cynthia Bruggeman, Associate Publisher of Trail Runner magazine. “We share the same passion and focus, which is encouraging runners of all ages and skill levels to engage in a healthy, active, outdoor lifestyle.”
XTERRA started a stand-alone Trail Run Series to complement its off-road triathlon XTERRA America Tour in 2005 and has since grown into a 55-race nationwide circuit. The series culminates at the XTERRA National Championship half-marathon in Bend, Oregon, on 18 September, followed by the XTERRA World Championship half-marathon at Kualoa Ranch on the Hawaiian island of Oahu on 5 December.
“Bringing Trail Runner into the XTERRA family is a big win for us and our athletes,” said Emily McIlvaine, the XTERRA Trail Run Series Manager. “Trail Runner reaches our core market and together we’ll be able to create a bigger footprint for our ‘Live More’ philosophy.”
