Universal Sports to air ITU triathlon world champ series

Universal Sports’ TV and online coverage of the 2010 Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Series, will enable US multisport enthusiasts to follow top US triathletes and all the excitement of the seven-stop world championship.

The Universal Sports Television Network and UniversalSports.com deliver exclusive live and on-demand coverage of world-class competitions, interaction with top athletes and in-depth access to sports news and information year round.

Available in over 57 million US homes, Universal Sports, formerly World Championship Sports Network (WCSN), is a partnership between NBC Sports and InterMedia Partners. It serves as a ‘preeminent multiplatform destination for Olympic and lifestyle sports programming.’

After debuting coverage of the Sydney opener in April, Universal Sports will air a recap show of each event of the World Championship Series beginning with coverage of last month’s Seoul stop aired on 5 June. The women’s race will air Saturday 5 June at 16:30 Eastern Time, followed by the men’s race on Sunday at 16:30.

Universal Sports’ coverage of each race will feature highlights and interviews with the top American competitors.
