The Dublin Marathon Expo – Ireland’s largest exhibition for sports and fitness enthusiasts – is this year expanding its popular show to connect more with endurance athletes. The expo organisers have announced that the 2012 Dublin Marathon Expo will have a dedicated triathlon area.
The expo has been running over 14 years; and now, due to demand, many of the newest and up-and-coming triathlon brands will have their own area in the RDS Main Hall this coming 27-28 October.
The Tri Zone, in association with Triathlon Ireland, will have a number of multisport industry players on show including Cycle Superstore, Science in Sport (SiS), Aqua Sphere, Extreme North Events, Irish Fit and more. At the event, existing or aspiring triathletes will have the opportunity to see, try and buy a wide range of sports, health and fitness products, and to learn from the experts about all things swim, bike and run.
Triathlon Ireland will also be on hand to talk to consumers new to triathlon about the best way to prepare and train, along with information on local clubs and upcoming triathlon events for the 2013 season. Triathlon Ireland will also be holding talks on The Tri Stage along with speakers from Ireland, England & Australia.
“The Dublin Marathon Expo has become the premier event for fitness enthusiasts in Ireland,” said Emma Olohan Co-Producer of the Dublin Marathon Expo. “With vendors, demonstrations and talks, the DM Expo is a one-stop show for athletes to learn, experience and buy the latest sports products. With the addition of The Tri Zone we plan to help even more athletes improve their performance in 2012-13.”
The event is free to attend for consumers; and the organisers hope that endurance sport, and triathlon specifically, will get a further boost in Ireland going forwards from increasing consumer interest.
