City Bikes Ironman 70.3 Miami has confirmed its newest sponsor, Michelob ULTRA. Michelob ULTRA will become the Official Beer of the 2012 City Bikes Ironman 70.3 Miami event and will sponsor the run course.
“Michelob ULTRA is thrilled to partner with City Bikes Ironman 70.3 Miami,” said Eddy Leal, Senior Manager, Region Trade Marketing at Michelob ULTRA. “We’re excited to be on site to support triathletes every step of the way and look forward to helping the participating adult athletes celebrate their achievements at the finish line.”
Michelob ULTRA has 95 calories and 2.6g of carbs per 12oz serving. One year after its introduction in 2002, Michelob ULTRA became the fastest-growing new brand in the beer industry. It was also a big hit among adult fitness enthusiasts, adult consumers living an active lifestyle and those looking for a great-tasting beer with lower carbohydrates and fewer calories.
City Bikes Ironman 70.3 Miami is a truly international event with athletes from over 58 countries around the world in attendance. The race is also one of the largest in the United States, offering 3,000 slots and was sold out last year.
Miami’s warm climate and range of activities allow athletes and their families to use the race as an excuse to visit and indulge in all the city has to offer, simultaneously stimulating the local economy. The 2012 event, which takes place on 28 October at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami, is highly anticipated, with registrations close to being sold out.
“We are glad to see the City Bikes Ironman 70.3 Miami team continue to grow, and the addition of a brand such as Michelob ULTRA demonstrates the increasing corporate support of triathlon,” said Wilber Anderson, CEO of Miami Tri Events.
