HITS Triathlon Series: new pricing structure for all distances

HITS Triathlon Series has announced a new pricing system for its races. Starting with the Lake Havasu City, Arizona, event and continuing through the race organizer’s 2013 schedule, HITS has implemented a rolling rate schedule that enables athletes to realize savings of up to 75% off regularly priced registration when they register to race more than one month in advance.

This new early bird registration pricing offers three different saving options before regularly priced registration takes effect one month prior to each event for the Sprint, Olympic, Half and Full distance races as follows:

  • More than four months before event – 75% off
  • Four to three months before event – 50% off
  • Three to one month before event – 25% off
  • Month before event – regular price

“The sport of triathlon appears to be at a crossroads,” said Tom Struzzieri, HITS President and CEO. “We’ve listened to the feedback from our own athletes and watched carefully what’s happening elsewhere, and while some believe that there’s enough demand to increase rates, our approach is going to be focused on delivering value. This new structure, allows athletes who organize their schedules in advance an affordable price point.”

As a result of this new pricing structure, HITS is now offering athletes the opportunity to enjoy the most competitive rates for a Full [iron] distance race with advanced registration:

  • More than four months before event – US$150
  • Four to three months before event – US$300
  • Three to one month before event – US$450
  • Month before race – US$600

“We took a lot of things into consideration when creating these new prices, but most importantly, we listened to our athletes,” said Mark H. Wilson, HITS Triathlon Series Race Director. “We want to give people the best opportunities possible to experience a HITS race and reward early registrations.”

Athletes can now take advantage of the new pricing structure with registration now open for the following events:

  • Lake Havasu City, Arizona – 10-11 November 2012
  • 2012 Championship Palm Springs, California – 1-2 December 2012
  • Naples, Florida – 12-13 January 2013
  • Ocala, Florida – 23-24 March
  • Napa Valley, California – 13-14 April
  • Marble Falls, Texas – 27-28 April

HITS will soon announce and open registration for events taking place in the second half of 2013, which will include Hunter Mountain, New York; Colorado; Lake Havasu City, Arizona; Palm Springs, California; and more!
