The record hitting of capacity continues for the World Triathlon Corp (WTC) owned Ironman brand, with confirmation that, after an ‘outstanding debut’ event in 2012, Ironman 70.3 Mont-Tremblant 2013 has filled in record time.
Famous as one of Canada’s premier ski resorts, Mont-Tremblant is also ‘a summer-time paradise with endless entertainment and recreational options.’
This latest development in Canada comes as a shot in the arm for Ironman, following the bold entry into Canada by rival long distance race firm The Challenge Family.
Mont-Tremblant has become the home of Ironman in eastern Canada with the arrival of Ironman Mont-Tremblant, which enjoyed an auspicious debut last August. According to WTC, athletes flocked to the region all summer to train, and many of those who signed up for the event in August competed in the June IM 70.3 race as it provided a perfect opportunity to check out the course for the full-distance Ironman event.
