Places going quickly at Ironman 70.3 Port Macquarie

General entry for the 2012 Ironman 70.3 Port Macquarie event – taking place on Sunday 28 October 2012 – is open online at IronmanPortMacquarie.com. Following on from sellout of the Ironman 70.3 Shepparton event in under 24 hours this week, Port Macquarie entries have started strong with over a third of available entry places already sold, according to the race organisers.
The 2012 event again serves as the Ironman 70.3 Australian Age-Group Championship, with the top finishers in each age-group receiving an opportunity to enter the sold out Ironman events in Port Macquarie and Melbourne. More details on these invitations will be available in early March.
The event features 25 qualifying slots to the 2013 Ironman World Championship 70.3 in Lake Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as P-500 status for professional athletes.
