Newton Running, a leading player in natural form running footwear and education, has hired Stuart Johnson as VP of Marketing. Johnson brings to the position 20 years of diverse, global marketing experience in footwear, apparel, packaged goods and premium retailing for such recognized brands as Reebok, Starbucks, Microsoft, Frito-Lay and Tazo.
“Stuart comes from a diverse business background and has invaluable experience in developing and growing business internationally,” said Newton CEO Jerry Lee. “He will be a key player in driving Newton Running’s success moving forward.”
Johnson will oversee Newton Running’s global marketing strategy, including the recently launched ‘Hello Better’ domestic US brand campaign. Johnson will apply his experience in strategic planning at Reebok International and global product management and innovation at Starbucks to develop and implement an integrated marketing plan for Newton Running’s expanding product line in 2012 and beyond.

Johnson, a competitive ultrarunner and mountain-sports enthusiast is looking forward to returning to Boulder, Colorado, after a seven-year stint in Seattle, Washington.
