Token scoops Taipei Cycle Show design and innovation awards

Token Products, the high performance cycling components specialist, has confirmed that it has picked up two 2012 TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards. Both featuring under the Components category, Token’s hEGGset and Sharktail Skewers were chosen by the TAIPEI CYCLE jury to be recognized as award winners.

The award winning products will be on special display at the TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards 2012 exhibition (TWTC Nangang exhibition hall) from 7-10 March 2012, as well as at the Token Products Booth #K327.

hEGGset
The Patent Pending headset is a dual function headset for integrated and threadless headtubes. A sleek design sees the headset fit flush into the headtube of the frame, giving ‘a smooth single unit-like appearance to the frame’s headtube.’

According to the company, the hEGGset is ‘easy to install and the sealed bearings make it easy to maintain. The weight of the headset is on par with the lightest headsets on the market.’

After redesigning the alloy parts in the hEGGset, Token Products also looked at the product’s packaging – which is made from recyclable plastic, is reusable and ‘looks good enough to be used as a paperweight on your desk!’

Sharktail Skewers
Positioned as a light functional skewer with aerodynamic properties, both sides of the end of the lever are designed like a shark’s tail and hook onto the finger for faster removal and tightening of the skewer.

Features:

  • Sleek, aerodynamic and lightweight all in one
  • Lever: 6061 Al.
  • Axle: stainless or titanium Y-Cut ( Patented)
  • Universal design to fit any road & MTB wheel
  • Safety comes first – Y-Cut axle has the same strength as normal SUS axles
  • Weight: 45g / set
