Tri Dynamic launches 2013 Spring Triathlon Training Camps with Joe Friel

Multisport coaching specialist Tri Dynamic has announced details of its 2013 triathlon training camps with coaching legend Joe Friel. These will take place in March 2013 in Lanzarote and Mallorca providing a great spring board leading into the new 2013 racing season and an opportunity to spend a week learning from coaching guru Joe Friel, author of The Triathlete’s Training Bible, Going Long and Your Best Triathlon.

Tri Dynamic is the only company in Europe organising camps with Joe Friel, who has been one of the world’s leading coaches for 30 years working with professional triathletes, Olympians and age groupers alike. Camps are ‘limited numbers, high attention’ ensuring that everyone gets lots of individual coaching and feedback from Joe Friel, who always leads every single workout during the week.

This will be the third year that Tri Dynamic and Joe Friel have teamed up on triathlon camps, which have taken place all over the world. Each Tri Dynamic camp with Joe Friel attracts an international mix of triathletes across all ability ranges from novice to seasoned Ironman competitors.

Athletes who have attended the camps have gone on to record new PBs, reached podiums in Olympic distance, 70.3 races and qualified for the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii, as well as a winning a gold medal at the European Age Group Triathlon Championships and the much coveted black t-shirt from Norseman.

Tri Dynamic Joe Friel Camps have also attracted some of the world’s best elite triathletes and coaches as Special Guests. Camp highlights include riding the bike course with 5 (now 6 x) Ironman Switzerland Champion Ronnie Schildknecht and multiple XTERRA European Champion Renata Bucher on the Official Training Camp of IM Switzerland in 2011.

Australian Elite Coach Darren Smith gave a presentation along with one of his Olympian athletes, Lisa Norden. The Barcelona and Andalucía Camps were joined by TriStar Deauville winner and pro triathlete Tamsin Lewis. In May co-author of Going Long and founder of Endurance Corner Gordo Byrn was Special Guest on the Italian Joe Friel Camp.

Joe Friel Lanzarote High Attention Triathlon Camp, 2-9 March 2013
Tri Dynamic’s first spring triathlon training camp with Joe Friel will be the Lanzarote High Attention Triathlon Camp, which will take place from 2-9 March. The camp will be based at the luxurious Tri-Sports Lanzarote featuring its own on-site 25m pool.

All Tri Dynamic camps are high attention but on this camp athletes will receive even more personal coaching and analysis than ever from Joe Friel as there will only be between 8-10 places available. With great open water swimming at nearby Puerto del Carmen and direct access from the villa to the bike and run routes, athletes will be spoilt for choice with the triathlon training available. Limited places, early booking is recommended for this camp.

Joe Friel Mallorca Triathlon Camp, 16-23 March 2013
The Mallorca Spring Triathlon Camp with Joe Friel will take place at the BEST Centre training facility from 16-23 March. Several pro cycling teams use Mallorca as their base for their spring training camps. Numerous professional triathletes including Jan Frodeno and Marino Vanhoenacker have trained at the BEST Centre due to the mild climate, bike friendly roads and range of cycling terrain. Joe Friel will be assisted by TrainingBible Coaching UK Director Rob Griffiths, a BTF Level 3 Triathlon Coach who coaches Irish Triathlete Brian McCrystal. Rob joined the sold-out Joe Friel Andalucía Camp in 2012.
