Wiggle launches Alipay for Chinese customers

Wiggle, ‘the UK’s number one online cycling and tri-sports retailer’, continues to push its international expansion, with a focus on the booming Chinese market. The retailer has just launched the Alipay payment system to make shopping more convenient for its Chinese customers.

Wiggle is reportedly only the third British retailer to offer Alipay – China’s leading third-party online payment solution – helping to securing Wiggle’s position as a leading international online retail specialist.

Wiggle reports that it has enjoyed consistently strong growth across Asia and has worked hard to nurture and develop its relationship with its Chinese customers. The Wiggle site was first launched in Chinese language in autumn 2011 and the Yuan was subsequently added to its onsite currency options. In 2012 Wiggle’s dedicated Chinese site (www.wiggle.cn) was launched.
