Herbalife sponsored Heather Jackson donates win proceeds to Peru flood victims

Herbalife sponsored Heather Jackson wins IRONMAN 70.3 Peru

Global nutrition company Herbalife has congratulated sponsored triathlete Heather Jackson on winning IRONMAN 70.3 Peru. Sponsored by Herbalife Nutrition, Jackson, who trains in Bend, Oregon, completed the race with a time of 4 hours, 12 minutes and 41 seconds. She will donate the proceeds from her win to the Peruvian people devastated by the recent floods that displaced an estimated 900,000 families.

“The people of Peru inspired me during the race, and Herbalife Nutrition fuelled me as I pushed through,” said Heather Jackson. “I’m always so grateful for the opportunity to race; and, meanwhile, thousands of people have lost their homes. Peru, Herbalife Nutrition, and the entire Herbalife Nutrition community have given me so much in so many ways that it is the least I can do to give back to this wonderful country.”

“Once again, Heather Jackson has demonstrated to be among one of the world’s top athletes,” said Michael Johnson, Chairman and CEO at Herbalife. “As her official nutrition partner, we could not be more proud of her success in this IRONMAN and for giving back to those who need it most right now.”

Additionally, Herbalife Nutrition sponsored athletes Felipe Barraza from Chile placed fourth and Raul Tejada from Guatemala placed fifth in the men’s race.

Worldwide, Herbalife Nutrition supports more than 190 athletes. Herbalife is a global nutrition company that sells weight-management, nutrition and personal care products intended to support a healthy lifestyle.
