K-Swiss expects more steady 2010 revenue

28/02/2010

Sports shoe and apparel operator K-Swiss expects its 2010 revenue to be comparable to that posted by the company last year.

K-Swiss said it expects first quarter 2010 sales to fall year on year, then remain flat in the second quarter and increase in each of the last two periods of the year. In 2009, K-Swiss's revenue was US$240.7 million (€177 million).

K-Swiss has raised its game in the world of triathlon in recent months; although, triathlon remains a niche aspect of the predominantly sports and lifestyle focused K-Swiss brand.

K-Swiss is the exclusive footwear and apparel provider of an evolving collection of co-branded K-Swiss/Ironman performance and lifestyle footwear and apparel. Expect more to come from the company in triathlon throughout 2010 as K-Swiss seeks out ways to boost revenue and much needed profit this year.
